Leadership, like any other skill, must be trained. Too often, though, strong individual contributors are promoted for their functional skills with little guidance for the other elements of their roles. I work with leaders at all levels of organization to elevate their capabilities in managing up, building strong teams, and gaining commitment and support from their organizations.
The most impactful way to create an effective team culture that drives results is to train the team together. This creates a common language the team can use to ensure accountability, productivity, and focus on the activities that matter most .
